Job description
Turning ADFH into a destination buyers actively choose, rather than one they simply pass through, sits at the core of this Manager, Buyer Development role. You'll lead the identification, segmentation, acquisition, engagement and activation of buyers across wholesale, food distribution, retail, HORECA and other institutional or commercial channels in the UAE. Building a structured buyer universe means establishing relationships with the right decision makers, understanding their requirements and demand patterns, and translating that insight into commercial opportunities for ADFH. Tenant buyer matching and market activation programmes convert those relationships into meetings, sourcing opportunities, enquiries and ultimately transactions. Part of the mandate involves shifting ADFH from a tenant focused activation model toward a buyer oriented trading network, where buyers increasingly see ADFH as their preferred destination for sourcing and supplier discovery. A team sits under this role too, with coaching, clear KPIs and capability development in buyer research, account management and commercial conversion all part of the job. Pipeline management stays disciplined through CRM, keeping buyer intelligence accurate and communicated across the business. Coordination with other ADFH commercial and operational functions keeps buyer development activity aligned with the wider commercial strategy. A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, supply chain, food business, economics, commerce or a related discipline is required, with a postgraduate qualification or MBA considered an advantage though not mandatory.
