Job description
The Learning & Development Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh is responsible for delivering workplace learning, service improvement programs, and initiatives that support long-term business success and service excellence. The role adds value by identifying and implementing learning and performance improvement strategies aligned with the hotel's strategic direction. The position promotes a continuous learning culture, partners with stakeholders to ensure employees are trained on necessary skills, and applies adult learning principles, instructional design, and facilitation techniques. The manager uses learning technologies including e-learning and distance learning, applies needs assessment methodologies, evaluates program effectiveness using frameworks such as Kirkpatrick’s 4 levels, and ensures financial oversight of learning initiatives. The role requires experience managing learning programs in luxury hospitality and diverse cultural environments, and supports coaching, communication, and influencing strategies.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver workplace learning and service improvement programs to achieve long-term business success
- Identify and implement learning and performance improvement strategies aligned with hotel strategic direction
- Promote a continuous learning culture across the property

- Plan and manage learning projects using project planning tools and processes
- Manage budgets and financial oversight for learning programs
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends affecting workplace learning
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Learning & Development in a managerial capacity
- Experience in adult education or similar environments
- Experience in hotel operations, preferably luxury hospitality or service environments
- Experience managing in diverse cultural environments
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Instructional design skills and ability to apply adult learning styles and principles
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to determine training needs
- Coaching and influencing skills
- Knowledge of needs assessment methodologies and learning needs identification
- Familiarity with learning technologies, e-learning, and distance learning platforms
- Knowledge of program evaluation methods including Kirkpatrick’s 4 levels
- Project planning skills and familiarity with project planning tools
- Basic budgeting, accounting, and financial management knowledge
