The Accountant at Shipa Delivery is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting within a fast-paced last-mile logistics environment. Based in Dubai, this on-site role supports monthly and annual close processes, maintains the general ledger, and delivers financial insights that enable operational and strategic decision-making. The position requires strong technical accounting capabilities and prior experience within last-mile delivery or logistics operations, with a deep understanding of delivery-related cost structures such as driver wages, fuel, fleet expenses, maintenance, insurance, and third-party carrier fees. The Accountant prepares and reviews monthly financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, performs reconciliations, posts journal entries, and investigates variances. The role collaborates closely with operations and leadership teams, supports audits and tax compliance, and contributes to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial controls and scalability. Candidates should possess a Chartered Accountant certification or a master’s degree in accounting or finance, at least three years of accounts receivable and payable experience, strong ERP and Excel proficiency, and the ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines in a high-growth logistics setting.
