Key responsibilities

• Develop working drawings from equipment specifications and detailed engineering data in compliance with company and industry codes
• Create piping drawings, plans, layouts, calculations, and bills of material to support engineering deliverables
• Work on assignments requiring diverse design procedures and techniques for complex engineering programs
• Record observations, perform calculations, and prepare technical reports for assigned tasks
• Execute layouts, design, and checking work from supplied base data
• Design and prepare detailed drawings from rough sketches requiring intricate calculations and engineering principles
• Establish and monitor compliance with project drafting standards
• Identify cost-effective solutions to design challenges and recommend improvements
• Assist in preparing bid evaluations for project activities
• Design and construct models, prototypes, and processes, evaluating data and preparing recommendations and reports
• Prepare time, material, labor, and quantity estimates for testing, installation, manufacture, and construction activities
• Generate bills of materials from completed designs to support procurement and construction
• Coordinate small projects and prepare specifications for complex equipment or processes at higher experience levels
• Review design quality, technical accuracy, and drawing completeness, including checking work of others
• Plan assigned work effectively, liaise with project teams, and manage man-hours to meet project targets
• Conduct site visits and surveys, contributing to site visit reports and engineering assessments
