Job description
The Product Operations Manager – Corporate Information Systems role sits within ByteDance’s Information Systems team and is responsible for building and scaling product operations capabilities across internal enterprise platforms that support procurement, contract management, workplace services, human resources, finance, legal, and other core functions. The role owns operational alignment across Product Management, Engineering, and internal business users, translating feedback into actionable insights and establishing scalable frameworks that improve execution, decision making, and adoption. The position is anchored on three pillars: Voice of Customer programs to capture and operationalize user feedback; Product Analytics and Insights through instrumentation, dashboards, and reporting to understand usage, behavior, and adoption; and Operational Excellence through process design, governance models, documentation, training, and enablement. The role partners closely with stakeholders to drive product adoption, reduce operational friction, enable data-driven decisions, and support ByteDance’s rapidly evolving global business.

Key responsibilities
- Establish and scale product operations frameworks that improve clarity, execution, and decision making across Product, Engineering, and business teams
- Build and manage structured Voice of Customer programs that capture user feedback and translate insights into product priorities
- Develop product analytics, dashboards, and reporting to surface usage patterns, user behavior, operational efficiency, and adoption trends
- Coordinate workflows and manage dependencies across cross-functional teams to drive alignment and execution
- Create and maintain standardized operating models, documentation, and SOPs to support predictable delivery
- Lead enablement initiatives including training, communications, and adoption programs for internal users
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand needs, resolve issues, and improve the end-to-end product experience
- Communicate product and operational updates clearly to leadership and partners
- Champion automation, tooling, and scalable processes to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
Experience & skills
- Possess 5 or more years of experience in product operations, product management, business operations, or program management in a fast-paced technology environment
- Demonstrate strong product intuition and business acumen with ability to assess risks and outcomes
- Show proven experience implementing scalable operational frameworks, feedback systems, or analytics programs
- Exhibit ability to influence without authority and align senior stakeholders across functions
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills with experience using product data, dashboards, and KPI frameworks
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Show familiarity with enterprise internal systems or B2B platforms such as ERP, HRIS, procurement, or contract management systems
- Demonstrate experience applying automation or AI to operational workflows
