Acting as a strategic partner to the Retail Director, the role contributes to the execution and deployment of CHANEL’s retail strategy within the boutique while ensuring consistent alignment with the House’s brand image, luxury positioning, and long-term business vision. The Deputy Boutique Manager plays a critical leadership role in managing boutique sales teams including Sales Advisors and Supervisors, ensuring effective collaboration and synergy among team members while fostering a culture of excellence in luxury service delivery. The role focuses on developing the potential of individuals within the team by implementing structured development initiatives, conducting regular performance evaluations, and providing ongoing coaching and mentorship to enhance product knowledge, sales capability, and client engagement expertise. Operating within the highly specialized Watches and Fine Jewellery environment, the role requires strong sensitivity to luxury jewellery and watch collections, ensuring the boutique consistently delivers a refined and personalized client experience aligned with CHANEL’s global standards. The Deputy Boutique Manager supports the boutique’s commercial success by analysing key business indicators, monitoring sales performance across product categories, and implementing strategic action plans that drive revenue growth and operational efficiency. Working closely with the Retail Director, High-End Business Manager, Learning and Development teams, and After-Sales Managers, the role ensures that service excellence, operational performance, and customer relationship management initiatives remain aligned with the brand’s client experience objectives. The position requires maintaining a 360-degree view of boutique operations, balancing both quantitative and qualitative performance indicators including sales performance, client experience quality, and operational compliance. As a strategic contributor, the Deputy Boutique Manager participates in retail strategy initiatives, supports key projects within the boutique network, and builds relationships within the luxury retail community to monitor competitor activity and identify market insights relevant to CHANEL’s positioning in the Watches and Fine Jewellery segment. Acting as an ambassador of the brand, the Deputy Boutique Manager embodies CHANEL’s brand image, environmental and societal values, and luxury service philosophy while ensuring all boutique decisions and operational strategies reflect the long-term vision and standards of the House.
