Job description
The Commercial Development Manager β Offshore at DP World Maritime Solutions, based in Dubai, is responsible for driving business growth, maximizing revenue, and expanding offshore vessel operations. The role includes identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, conducting market research, and implementing strategies to increase market share. The position requires managing client relationships, leading contract negotiations, drafting and administering commercial agreements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial objectives. Financial responsibilities include developing pricing strategies, preparing forecasts and reports, implementing cost-control measures, and tracking revenue, costs, and expenses. Additionally, the role involves negotiating and closing vessel sale and purchase deals, exploring financing and M&A opportunities, and representing the company at industry events. The manager ensures alignment with maritime regulations and standards while leading cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence across offshore vessel activities.

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the offshore oil and gas sector, targeting market expansion and revenue growth
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and revenue streams to inform strategic decisions
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to increase company market share and profitability, including establishment of new entities in developing regions
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions aligned with company policies and financial objectives
- Draft, review, and finalize commercial agreements, including charter party contracts, and manage contract administration for compliance
- Develop pricing strategies to optimize vessel utilization, prepare financial forecasts and reports, and implement cost-control measures
- Manage client relationships, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback while ensuring operational alignment with service delivery objectives
- Negotiate and oversee vessel sale and purchase transactions, including preparation of contracts, compliance with maritime law, and sourcing financing or M&A opportunities
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless execution of chartering and commercial strategies across the offshore fleet
- Represent the company at industry conferences, client meetings, and events to promote business development and maintain visibility in the maritime sector
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Offshore Support Vessels chartering or commercial management within the oil and gas industry
- Proven expertise in offshore vessel operations, including PSVs, AHTS, and crew boats
- Demonstrated success in business development, commercial negotiations, and contract management
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial principles within maritime operations, including market analysis, financial modelling, and risk assessment
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements
- Leadership capability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals
- Results-oriented mindset focused on operational efficiency, high-quality outcomes, and revenue maximization
