Job description
Enterprise applications across web, mobile back ends, APIs, integrations, and digital services need performance validation before they reach production, and that responsibility sits with this Performance Test, Senior Engineer role at Adree. The position leads performance testing initiatives from strategy through execution, starting with the performance test strategy, roadmap, standards, templates, entry/exit criteria, and performance quality gates. Workload models get built from business volumes, usage patterns, architecture, service-level objectives, and nonfunctional requirements. You will plan and execute load, stress, endurance/soak, scalability, capacity, spike, and volume tests, then design and maintain the scripts, scenarios, parameterization, correlation, and data preparation behind them. Test-environment, monitoring, data, access, and service-virtualization requirements get defined in coordination with DevOps and infrastructure teams. Client, server, database, network, container, and application-monitoring data all get correlated to isolate bottlenecks and root causes. Response time, throughput, concurrency, error rate, resource utilization, capacity, and SLA compliance are evaluated and translated into technical recommendations for developers, architects, DBAs, SRE, infrastructure, network, and security teams. Performance tests and thresholds get integrated into delivery pipelines, with baseline and trend reporting built to be repeatable. Beyond the technical work, the role covers effort estimation, deliverable review, mentoring, and knowledge transfer on the performance testing operating model.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the performance test strategy, roadmap, standards, templates, entry/exit criteria, and performance quality gates
- Analyze business volumes, usage patterns, architecture, service-level objectives, and nonfunctional requirements to build realistic workload models
- Plan and execute load, stress, endurance/soak, scalability, capacity, spike, and volume tests across web, mobile back ends, APIs, integrations, and digital services
- Design and maintain performance-test scripts, scenarios, parameterization, correlation, data preparation, and reusable components
- Define test-environment, monitoring, data, access, and service-virtualization requirements, and coordinate readiness with DevOps and infrastructure teams
- Correlate client, server, database, network, container, and application-monitoring data to identify bottlenecks and isolate root causes
- Evaluate response time, throughput, concurrency, error rate, resource utilization, capacity, and SLA compliance, and translate results into technical recommendations
- Integrate performance tests and thresholds into delivery pipelines and establish repeatable baseline and trend reporting
- Lead defect triage and performance tuning discussions with developers, architects, DBAs, SRE, infrastructure, network, and security teams
- Produce test plans, status updates, executive summaries, detailed reports, risks, and release recommendations
- Estimate effort, plan assignments, review deliverables, and mentor team members while ensuring traceability and audit-ready evidence
- Deliver knowledge-transfer sessions and practical coaching on performance testing and the implemented operating model
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Bring 8+ years of software testing experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on performance testing/engineering and prior technical or team leadership experience
- Demonstrate advanced practical experience in performance-test scripting, scenario design, correlation, parameterization, execution control, analysis, and diagnostics
- Show a strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST/SOAP APIs, web services, authentication, distributed systems, databases, networks, and common performance bottlenecks
- Derive workload models from production or forecast data and define measurable non-functional acceptance criteria
- Carry experience integrating performance tests with continuous-delivery pipelines and source control
- Apply strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder-management, documentation, and presentation skills
- Communicate professionally in English; Arabic is an advantage
- Gain exposure to enterprise test management, service virtualization, container-platform monitoring, observability, and enterprise API gateways, preferred
- Add experience with mobile back-end performance, cloud/container platforms, resilience/failure testing, and performance-capacity planning, preferred
- Present relevant certifications in performance testing, software testing, Agile, or DevOps, preferred
- Draw on experience in government, regulated, or large-scale digital-service environments, preferred
