Job description
The Consultant – Corporate Finance & Restructuring role at FTI Consulting is focused on delivering advisory services to organizations facing crisis and transformation, supporting multinational corporations, banks, law firms, and private equity firms across complex financial and operational challenges. The position operates within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice, addressing strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs through assignments including financial restructuring advisory, financial, operational, and commercial due diligence, business reviews, liquidity analysis, cash and working capital management, valuation, contingency planning, and insolvency engagements. The role involves assisting in business and liquidity reviews by analyzing historical and forecast financial performance, preparing and testing business plans and financial models, and conducting variance and bridge analysis to identify underperformance drivers. The consultant is responsible for building detailed three-statement financial models using Microsoft Excel, interrogating financial data, and performing diligence analysis. The position requires communicating findings through structured report writing and presentations, forming initial analytical viewpoints, and contributing to client deliverables in fast-paced, cross-border consulting engagements. The role also demands proficiency in deal structuring principles, strong quantitative and research analysis skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within consulting teams while supporting client transformation and restructuring strategies.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in business and liquidity reviews by analyzing historical and forecast financial performance
- Prepare and test business plans and financial models including three-statement financial models
- Conduct variance analysis and bridge analysis to identify drivers of underperformance
- Perform financial, operational, and commercial due diligence analysis
- Support financial restructuring, valuation, contingency planning, and insolvency engagements
- Develop initial analytical insights and share findings with case managers
- Communicate analysis results through detailed report writing and oral presentations
- Interrogate financial data and conduct detailed financial analysis for client engagements
- Support cash management and working capital management initiatives
- Collaborate on cross-border engagements and work with diverse stakeholder groups
Experience & skills
- Hold a degree in a numerate subject or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrate experience in restructuring or due diligence within a consulting firm
- Exhibit strong financial modeling skills including Excel-based three-statement modeling
- Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office tools especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate knowledge of deal structuring and transaction processes
- Show strong quantitative, analytical, and research capabilities
- Exhibit strong communication skills including report writing and presentations
- Demonstrate ability to work in fast-paced, team-based consulting environments
- Be able to travel and support cross-border engagements
- Possess professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CFA as preferred
- Demonstrate Arabic language proficiency as preferred
