Job description
We are seeking experienced Project Engineers to join the New Energy Project Development and Support Department at Aramco. This team leads capital project execution for energy transition technologies like Hydrogen, Ammonia, and COā. You will oversee project development and execution through engineering, procurement, and construction phases, ensuring projects meet safety, performance, and financial targets. You will also support manpower planning, HR coordination, training, and compliance with internal KPIs.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the project development and execution of capital projects according to the scope, schedule and budget.
- Leverage expertise in Downstream & New Energy projects and provide appropriate actions for the team.
- Responsible for project development phases including engineering studies, licensors selection, technical bid reviews, preliminary and detail design, materials procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, handover, and close out.
- Provide technical and project management oversight to all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Ensure timely resolution of project issues and implement safety measures in project execution.
- Implement company initiatives and achieve KPI targets under the division.
- Prepare and review monthly project performance reports covering design, procurement, construction, milestones, commitments, variances, and issues.
- Anticipate and plan for scope, timing, and cost changes in projects.
- Manage teams, provide guidance, and ensure training and development paths for division employees.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing correspondence and maintain proper job records.
- Negotiate agreements and change orders with contractors.
- Monitor contracts, costs, schedules, and value improvements.
- Coordinate and monitor project progress and challenge underperformance.
- Uphold engineering ethics and professional standards.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 9 years of project management experience in capital projects within Downstream or New Energy sectors.
- PMP, PgMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience in engineering design and construction phases with knowledge of international standards and specifications.
- Understanding of project phases, bidding, procurement, construction best practices.
- Knowledge of contract documents, project execution plans, interface and change management.
- Familiarity with cashflow planning, resource distribution, and crisis management.
- Dynamic approach to project improvements and cost savings.
- Ability to work in diverse, multinational teams and travel as required.
