Job description

The IPTV Operations Engineer at Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) is responsible for the round-the-clock availability and maintenance of the IPTV infrastructure, including handling escalations, coordinating with carrier partners, resolving trouble tickets, and implementing configuration changes in core nodes like SOFTX3000 and SBC. The role includes auditing and generating health and capacity reports, performing IGW tasks, new feature implementation, and conducting acceptance testing. The engineer is expected to handle VIP customer cases, read and analyze telecom protocol traces, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met. The position demands deep technical expertise in mobile core network components, specifically IP Nating, SIP, and SS7 signaling, and strong knowledge of telecom protocols like H.248, SIP, SS7, and SIGTRAN. Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure are critical.
