Job description
The Demand Planner I role at Honeywell impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of service operations by developing accurate demand forecasts to support supply chain planning, inventory optimization, and service level improvements. The position ensures alignment between sales, operations, and finance through consensus forecasting and scenario planning; develops and maintains statistical forecasts using historical data, market trends, and cross-functional inputs; utilizes SAP and Excel-based models to simulate demand scenarios and assess impact; uses dashboards and workbooks to visualize demand patterns, service levels, and part-level performance; collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather information and support demand planning activities; contributes to process improvements to enhance demand planning efficiency; conducts formal forecast reviews with the Global planning team and improves forecast accuracy; ensures collaboration between the business and supply to understand internal and external factors impacting the forecast; optimizes the balance between supply and demand to meet internal service KPIs; identifies excess inventory, rework stock, and QA issues and proposes mitigation strategies; supports initiatives such as LTB (Last Time Buy) planning and product lifecycle transitions; contributes to META projects and the inventory plan; and applies a deep understanding of supply chain, logistics, and service operations within a hybrid work environment at Dubai locations.

- Develop and maintain statistical demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and cross-functional inputs.
- Utilize SAP and Excel-based models to simulate demand scenarios and assess supply chain impact.
- Build and maintain dashboards and workbooks to visualize demand patterns, service levels, and part-level performance.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, finance, and other teams to collect inputs and support demand planning activities.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in demand planning.
- Conduct formal forecast reviews with the Global planning team and drive forecast accuracy improvements.
- Ensure ongoing collaboration between business and supply teams to account for internal and external drivers of demand.
- Optimize the balance between supply and demand to meet internal service KPIs.
- Identify excess inventory, rework stock, and QA issues and propose mitigation actions.
- Support LTB (Last Time Buy) planning and product lifecycle transitions.
- Contribute to META projects and the overall inventory plan.
Experience & skills
- 3+ years of planning, materials, sourcing, or related supply chain experience.
- Strong knowledge of demand planning principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Advanced MS Office skills with proficiency in Excel.
- Familiarity with demand planning software and systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred).
- Business-fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems (valued).
- Experience with a demand planning tool such as RapidResponse, SAP APO module, or Forecast Pro (valued).
- Soft skills including cross-functional communication, prioritization, escalation handling, and a continuous improvement mindset.
