Job description
The Associate Director – Asset Management (Managed Services) plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping strategy, directing transformation programmes, and overseeing high-value client engagements across asset-intensive sectors. The role is embedded in a rapidly growing consulting practice focused on enterprise-wide transformation, strategic asset management, efficiency optimization, and compliance with international standards such as ISO 55000. Responsibilities include leading national and regional infrastructure projects, designing transformation roadmaps, managing multi-million-dollar engagements, setting up and running PMOs, and providing executive advisory to C-suite clients. This individual will also be responsible for business development, contributing to practice innovation, and mentoring diverse consulting teams. Sector expertise across Transport, Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Defence, and Telecoms is highly valued. The role offers the opportunity to impact ministerial and board-level decision-making and shape asset management policies across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of Asset Management strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps for government and private sector clients
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, providing strategic direction and shaping investment decisions
- Manage large, complex transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Set up and run Transformation Offices / Programme Management Offices (PMO) to monitor and drive delivery
- Oversee multi-million-dollar engagements across diverse sectors, ensuring quality, timeliness, and impact
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, business cases, and transformation frameworks
- Ensure delivery excellence by embedding global leading practices, ISO 55000 standards, and innovative methodologies
- Manage project risks and stakeholder expectations, ensuring successful business outcomes
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of consultants, managers, and assistant managers to build a high-performing, inclusive culture
- Contribute to practice growth by shaping thought leadership, methodologies, and innovative service offerings
- Support business development by leading on proposals, client pitches, and thought leadership pieces
Experience & skills
- Possess 15+ years of experience in asset management, consulting, or related industries, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrate strong experience delivering enterprise-wide Asset Management strategies and transformation roadmaps
- Have a proven track record of leading large-scale transformation programmes and PMOs in asset-intensive industries
- Show deep knowledge of ISO 55000 standards; IAM certification or equivalent is preferred
- Exhibit strong commercial acumen with experience in business development and winning new work
- Demonstrate ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and communicate complex strategies clearly
- Have strong leadership skills and experience managing diverse, cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
- Hold sector expertise in one or more: Transport, Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Defence, Telecoms
- Have excellent English communication skills; Arabic language is an advantage
- Hold an advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
