Job description
The Product Owner – Revenue Management role at Etihad Airways is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog for airline revenue management products, with a focus on revenue optimization objectives including pricing, inventory, and demand management. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the role acts as a customer proxy to support the product vision and roadmap, validate delivered features against acceptance criteria, and ensure high-quality outcomes. As a core member of one or more agile scrum teams, the Product Owner collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to translate commercial and business objectives into actionable product requirements. The role encompasses backlog ownership, user story definition, acceptance of completed features, facilitation of sprint ceremonies, training material development, system performance monitoring post-release, and continuous enhancement of digital products supporting Etihad Airways’ Journey 2030 growth strategy.

Key responsibilities
- Contribute to defining product strategy, vision, and roadmap aligned with revenue management and business goals
- Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and user stories based on value, risk, and effort
- Translate product features into detailed user stories with acceptance criteria and test cases
- Manage cross-team dependencies and reflect them in iteration and release planning
- Accept user stories and features upon meeting Definition of Done, acceptance criteria, and quality standards
- Represent customer and business needs in all engagements with development teams
- Facilitate sprint reviews and product demos, capturing stakeholder feedback
- Lead or contribute to retrospectives to improve team efficiency and delivery velocity
- Maintain system training materials and conduct training during feature rollouts and refresh cycles
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to sequence technical enablers into delivery plans
- Monitor post-release product performance and support enhancements based on user feedback and insights
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Possess 7+ years of experience in digital product development, agile delivery, or technology environments
- Hold Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner, or equivalent certification, which is preferred
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, or Lean Portfolio Management
- Exhibit proficiency in backlog grooming, user story writing, and feature prioritisation
- Demonstrate strong understanding of CX/UX principles and incorporation of customer feedback
- Show familiarity with agile product management tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Demonstrate experience within airline, travel, e-commerce, or digital services environments
