Job description
The Senior Associate Business Process Advisory Services (Accounting and Financial Advisory) in the United Arab Emirates is responsible for delivering accounting, payroll, and financial advisory services to clients while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal client policies. Working within a professional services and accounting advisory environment, the role focuses on setting up and maintaining accounting systems, preparing accurate financial records, and providing operational financial support to client organizations. The position supports clients by establishing accounting structures based on selected accounting software, including designing the chart of accounts, configuring management reporting formats, and defining financial deliverables. The Senior Associate prepares and finalizes books of accounts using documentation and information provided by clients, ensuring compliance with statutory reporting standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include producing finalized financial statements such as general ledgers, trial balances, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, financial budgets, and management reports. The role performs account reconciliations including bank accounts, cash books, credit card accounts, and expense schedules while preparing adjustment journal entries and supporting financial schedules for accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and customer and supplier ageing reports. The position also supports payroll operations by setting up payroll systems based on client payroll structures, preparing payroll calendars, generating payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant local regulations including end-of-service benefits, social security requirements, and wage protection regulations. Additional responsibilities include reviewing employee expense claims, processing supplier and salary payments through client banking systems where authorized, and preparing funding requests and cash flow forecasts for client operations. The Senior Associate works closely with clients to understand financial reporting requirements and ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial reports. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and the capacity to manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced professional services environment while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and client confidentiality.

Key responsibilities
- Set up accounting systems including chart of accounts and financial reporting structures
- Prepare and finalize books of accounts in accounting software based on client documentation
- Produce financial statements including general ledger, trial balance, profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
- Prepare financial budgets and management reports for client organizations
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, cash books, credit cards, and expense schedules
- Prepare adjustment journal entries and supporting financial schedules
- Ensure financial records comply with statutory requirements and client internal policies
- Set up payroll systems and manage payroll processing based on client payroll structures
- Advise clients on payroll regulations including gratuity, social security, and wage protection system requirements
- Prepare payroll calendars, payroll reports, variance reports, and employee payslips
- Review employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company guidelines
- Prepare funding requests and cash flow forecasts and coordinate with clients for payments
Experience & skills
- Possess 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial advisory services within the UAE market
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Have a professional certification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction
- Have experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment
