Job description
The Emirates Investment Authority (EIA), the UAE Federal Governmentās Sovereign Wealth Fund, is seeking a Financial Planning and Reporting Consultant for a 6-month temporary contract. This role is pivotal in supporting the finance team across reporting, planning, analysis, and automation. The Consultant will ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards while contributing to process enhancements and the implementation of ERP systems. The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the UAEās sovereign finance ecosystem with exposure to high-impact projects and seasoned investment professionals.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and ensure IFRS compliance
- Support budgeting processes and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives
- Provide insights through financial modelling, trend analysis, and KPI tracking to support strategic decisions
- Assist in reconciliations, audit documentation, and reporting during month-end and year-end close
- Contribute to the implementation of financial reporting tools and ERP systems for process improvement
- Work closely with investment, risk, treasury, and external auditors to ensure seamless financial operations
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- ICAEW, ACCA, CPA, or CFA certification is preferred
- 5+ years in financial planning, corporate finance, or financial reporting
- Experience in sovereign wealth funds, investment firms, or multinational corporations is ideal
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial modelling, and performance reporting
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
- Proficiency in financial analytics, Excel advanced functions, and reporting automation tools
- Experience in risk management, compliance, and internal/external audit processes
