Job description
The Senior ELV Engineer at Egis is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of Extra Low Voltage systems for commercial and residential projects in Dubai. The role involves designing and developing comprehensive ELV solutions including fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and building automation systems, ensuring compliance with UAE building codes, NFPA standards, and international electrical regulations. The engineer prepares detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using AutoCAD and BIM software, coordinates with MEP teams and stakeholders for seamless system integration, and supervises site installations to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Additional responsibilities include cost analysis, project planning, managing budgets and timelines, preparing test and commissioning reports, mentoring junior engineers, liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors, and staying updated on emerging ELV technologies. The position requires experience in managing multiple projects, maintaining technical excellence, and ensuring efficient and safe project delivery, with a focus on large-scale, complex projects.

- Prepare technical reports, test certificates, and commissioning documentation for project handover
- Provide technical support, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and installation teams
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to address technical queries, resolve issues, and ensure project satisfaction
- Stay current with industry advancements, emerging ELV technologies, and sustainable building practices
Experience & skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ELV engineering and system design
- Proven expertise in fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and building automation systems
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM software, and electrical design tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of UAE building codes, NFPA standards, and international electrical regulations
- Demonstrated project management experience with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in preparing technical specifications and engineering documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with advanced building management systems and IoT integration (preferred)
- Familiarity with project management software and tools (preferred)
