Job description
The Operations Manager – Financial Services Rental & Leasing at Al-Futtaim Private Company LLC is responsible for managing rental operations in Qatar with a focus on revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role oversees fleet operations including procurement, allocation, maintenance, and disposal to ensure optimal availability and utilization. The manager leads process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance productivity while enforcing adherence to company policies and quality standards. Responsibilities also include developing SOPs, managing vendor relationships, handling customer escalations, and ensuring high service levels. Employee development is also a key area, requiring identification of talent and succession planning. The role demands strategic thinking, cross-functional coordination, financial oversight, and compliance with company standards for cash, fleet, and premises control. A strong understanding of the car rental industry, sales operations, and customer service excellence is required. This role is based in Doha, Qatar and is part of the Automotive division under Al-Futtaim Group.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end vehicle fleet operations including procurement, allocation, maintenance, and disposal
- Ensure optimal vehicle availability and utilization to meet rental demands and revenue targets
- Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline operations
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures across rental and leasing locations
- Ensure high vehicle utilization and revenue generation through effective fleet management
- Exceed customer expectations across all customer touchpoints within the business
- Handle customer escalations and ensure complaint resolution within defined SLAs
- Identify and develop team talents for succession planning and resource optimization
- Manage relationships with vendors including maintenance providers, fuel partners, and insurers
- Ensure business compliance with quality standards, policies, procedures, and security measures
- Communicate operational updates, insights, and efficiencies to senior management
- Enhance operational capabilities and deliver services with greater speed and lower cost
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the service industry, preferably car rental and leasing
- Have experience in sales and operational aspects of the automotive industry
- Understand industry best practices and their impact on customer service levels
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Have excellent planning, organizing, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Be a team player with leadership qualities and commercial awareness
