The Job Architecture Specialist role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization-wide framework that defines job roles, levels, competencies, and career pathways across the enterprise. The role ensures alignment between internal job structures and external market competitiveness while maintaining internal equity across compensation and role classifications. The specialist develops and maintains job architecture frameworks including job families, leveling structures, career ladders, and competency-based frameworks that support workforce planning and talent development strategies. The role involves conducting detailed job analysis and evaluation to assess job content, responsibilities, required competencies, and organizational impact, ensuring accurate mapping of roles to appropriate grades and levels. The specialist collaborates closely with compensation teams to align job structures with market data, ensuring consistent pay structures and equitable compensation practices across the organization. A key responsibility includes establishing governance processes for job architecture, preventing job title inflation, and ensuring consistency in job classification and organizational structure. The role also requires close stakeholder engagement with HR business partners and business leaders to align job architecture frameworks with organizational strategy and workforce transformation initiatives. Additionally, the specialist supports the development and standardization of job description templates, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational and legal classification standards, including alignment with labor regulations. The role contributes to strategic HR initiatives such as workforce restructuring, career development frameworks, and organizational redesign efforts while maintaining data-driven alignment with market benchmarking and compensation trends.

Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain job architecture frameworks including job levels, career ladders, and competency structures across the organization
- Analyze job roles, responsibilities, and competencies to evaluate and map positions to appropriate grades and levels
- Collaborate with compensation teams to align job structures with market data and maintain internal pay equity
- Establish and enforce governance processes for job classification to ensure consistency and prevent job title inflation
- Partner with HR business partners and business leaders to align job architecture with organizational strategy and workforce planning needs
- Develop and standardize job description templates ensuring accurate role definitions, legal compliance, and competency alignment
- Support workforce planning, talent management, and organizational design initiatives through structured job frameworks
- Conduct market benchmarking and structural analysis to ensure competitiveness of job roles and compensation structures
- Maintain HRIS systems and job classification data using platforms such as SAP and Oracle
- Ensure job architecture frameworks comply with labor regulations and organizational policies while supporting strategic HR transformation
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 3–6+ years of experience in HR functions including compensation, talent management, or organizational design
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Possess strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for job evaluation and structural analysis
- Demonstrate experience working with HRIS systems such as SAP, Oracle, or compensation management platforms
- Show in-depth knowledge of job evaluation methodologies, taxonomy, classification, and compensation alignment principles
- Demonstrate understanding of Saudi Labor Law and local market HR practices
- Possess strong stakeholder management skills with ability to collaborate with HR and business leadership teams
- Demonstrate knowledge of market benchmarking and compensation structuring methodologies
- Show ability to design and maintain structured job architecture and organizational frameworks
- Demonstrate strong communication and documentation skills for standardizing job descriptions and HR frameworks
