Job description
The Specialist, Investment at ADNOC Drilling in Abu Dhabi supports the organizationās investment activities by conducting financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and performance monitoring of existing and potential investments. The role contributes to informed investment decisions by delivering analytical insights aligned with ADNOC Group investment frameworks, governance requirements, and long-term strategic objectives. Responsibilities include evaluating new investment opportunities such as joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and capital projects, while developing financial models, performing valuation techniques including NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analysis, and preparing investment appraisals. The Specialist assists with commercial and financial due diligence for potential investments and transactions, prepares investment papers, business cases, and presentations for internal committees and senior management, and monitors the financial and operational performance of existing investments against approved business plans. The role includes supporting periodic portfolio reviews, conducting risk assessments, return analysis, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to gather financial, operational, and strategic inputs. The Specialist ensures compliance with ADNOC Group investment policies, governance frameworks, and approval thresholds while maintaining accurate documentation, models, and records related to investment decisions. Additionally, the role supports engagement with external advisors, consultants, and financial institutions, and complies with UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling, and client Legal, HSE, and Asset Integrity Management codes of practice, ensuring adherence to regulatory and governance standards across investment activities.

Key responsibilities
- Support the evaluation of new investment opportunities including joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and capital projects through financial and strategic analysis
- Prepare financial models, valuations, and investment appraisals including NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analysis to support investment decision-making
- Assist in conducting commercial and financial due diligence for potential investments, transactions, and partnerships
- Prepare investment papers, business cases, and presentations for internal committees and senior management review
- Monitor financial and operational performance of existing investments and joint ventures against approved business plans
- Support periodic investment portfolio reviews including risk assessment and return analysis
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain financial, operational, and strategic inputs for investment evaluation
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC Group investment policies, governance processes, and approval thresholds
- Maintain documentation, financial models, and records related to investment decisions and approvals
- Support engagement with external advisors, consultants, and financial institutions for investment-related activities
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, or MBA preferred
- 5ā7 years of experience in investments, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or valuation
- Experience in energy, oil & gas, infrastructure, or industrial sectors preferred
- Strong experience in financial modeling, valuation, and investment appraisal techniques
- Experience developing business cases and investment proposals
- Familiarity with governance and approval processes in large organizations or government-related entities
- Experience supporting investment due diligence and portfolio performance monitoring
