Job description
Ar Rjum is a greenfield gold project in the Central Arabian Gold Region, about 200 km north-east of Taif, with three open pit mines, a processing plant, tailings facilities and supporting power, water and accommodation infrastructure. Bechtel's electrical, instrumentation and controls construction on site runs through this Dhalm-based position, from installation and testing through turnover to Startup and Commissioning. Work plans, material take-offs and requisitions are prepared here, and inspections are carried out and documented in detail. Cable installations and terminations, field verification of materials and technical direction to E&I crews are all part of the routine. Design and vendor drawings need careful interpretation, and constructability or sequencing issues are worked out with Engineering. As-built drawings, construction schedules and temporary facility designs also come through the role, along with planning for proper material storage. Expect extensive time in the field, including climbing scaffolding, working at height and moving through confined spaces. The Zero Accident Safety Philosophy and the Project ES&H handbook apply to every task. A relevant engineering degree with 10 years of progressive experience is needed, or 15 years of relevant MENA experience in lieu of a degree.
