Job description
The IT Business System Administrator β Airline Systems at Jazeera Airways is responsible for supporting and managing critical airline operational applications, including Crew Portals, AIMS, AMOS, and other airline-specific systems. The role requires close collaboration with Operations, Crew, Engineering, Finance, and Corporate teams to understand system requirements and optimize usage. Key responsibilities include gathering and documenting business requirements, supporting solution design discussions, preparing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and basic data models. The administrator supports system testing, including UAT planning, test case preparation, execution, and defect tracking, while coordinating with IT teams, vendors, and third-party partners for requirement clarification. Change management tasks such as SOP updates, training material preparation, and post-implementation support are integral. Additionally, the role ensures accurate documentation, supports audits, and maintains compliance standards in a fast-paced airline operational environment. Exposure to airline operational systems and familiarity with SDLC methodologies, Agile or Waterfall, and tools like Jira or Confluence are essential to succeed.

- Support and administer airline systems including Crew Portals, AIMS, AMOS, and other operational applications
- Support airline systems requirements for PSS, DCS, flight operations, crew systems, and corporate applications
- Manage user access including creation of users, role assignment, and access reviews
- Collaborate with Operations, Crew, Engineering, and Finance teams to understand and document system needs
- Gather and document business requirements, process flows, user stories, and basic data models for various functional stakeholders
- Participate in solution design discussions, requirement walkthroughs, and review sessions
- Support system testing activities including UAT planning, test case preparation, execution, and defect tracking
- Assist in change management activities including SOP updates, training material preparation, and post-implementation support
- Maintain accurate system documentation and support audits and compliance requirements
Experience & skills
- Minimum Bachelorβs degree in IT or IT-related domains
- 4-5 years of experience in Business Analysis, IT, or related roles
- Experience with airline operational systems including Crew Portals, AIMS, AMOS, PSS, and DCS
- Exposure to airline or travel industry systems is an advantage
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management and documentation tools
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 airline operational environment
- Willingness to learn airline processes and aviation systems
