Job description
The Logistics Intern role at Huda Beauty supports the logistics team across daily operations and strategic initiatives within a global beauty brand environment. The position provides hands-on exposure to end-to-end logistics processes, particularly distribution center activities spanning the UAE, US, UK, and France. Working closely with the UAE Operations Manager, DC leads, and cross-functional teams, the intern assists with global inventory synchronization, inventory discrepancy analysis, cycle count planning, KPI implementation, and logistics data analysis. The role also supports shipping documentation management, customs data compilation, sustainability initiatives, SOP reviews, and operational excellence projects, offering practical experience in international supply chain operations over a six-month full-time internship.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating daily global inventory synchronization across distribution centers
- Support coordination of daily inventory status reviews and root cause analysis of discrepancies
- Assist with shelf-life reviews, space optimization, and slow and fast mover categorization
- Support coordination of global cycle count plans with distribution centers in the US, UK, France, and UAE
- Assist with implementation and tracking of global distribution center KPIs
- Support organization and verification of shipping documents including invoices, packing lists, and airwaybills
- Assist in compiling customs data for duty cost impact analysis
- Enter and update logistics data in tracking tools and dashboards
- Prepare basic reports on freight costs, delivery timelines, and inventory status
- Collect, clean, and support data preparation for global KPI dashboards
- Support sustainability initiatives including CO2 emissions tracking
- Assist with pallet standardization initiatives and SOP updates
- Review freight SOPs and data exchanges between freight forwarders and internal systems
- Participate in internal meetings and document action points
- Support logistics forecasting tasks and ad-hoc operational projects
Experience & skills
- Be recently graduated or in the final year of studies in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
- Demonstrate good communication skills and strong eagerness to learn
- Exhibit basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Demonstrate fluency in English
- Exhibit interest in global logistics and supply chain operations
