The position coordinates engineering project coordination activities including vessel upgrades, implementation of engineering projects, and oversight of project material delivery to vessels. Compliance responsibilities include monitoring that vessels maintain all required technical certifications and operate in accordance with maritime legislation, safety regulations, technical specifications, and operational standards established by both the shipping company and vessel owners. The role requires strong technical expertise in marine engineering, vessel maintenance, preventive maintenance, technical auditing, engineering project management, and maritime compliance standards. Candidates are expected to hold STCW certification, complete Accident & Incident Investigation course training, and possess a Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency, with previous sea service experience having sailed up to the rank of Chief Engineer on chemical tankers, as well as at least one year of shore-based experience as a Vessel Senior Superintendent.
