Job description
The General IT Analyst role at Vida Aljada Sharjah is designed to support exceptional guest experiences through the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of hospitality IT systems. The position ensures that front-of-house applications meet business needs, delivering seamless operations from check-in to check-out. The analyst works closely with IT Applications Managers, Project Managers, and vendors to implement and maintain systems, provide second-level support, develop additional functionality, integrate applications, and diagnose issues to minimize downtime while preserving data integrity. The role also emphasizes effective communication with non-technical users, multi-project management, and proactive enhancement of systems to maximize operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities
- Specify, implement, install, and configure front-of-house hospitality applications assigned to the analystβs specialty area
- Ensure applications meet business needs and liaise with IT managers, project managers, and vendors for successful deployment
- Provide ongoing technical maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for assigned hospitality applications
- Enhance business functionality by developing reports, workflows, and additional application features to maximize ROI and efficiency
- Provide second-level support for applications hosted at the business unit level
- Analyze, define, and implement interfaces between hospitality applications to ensure integrated solutions
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve problems affecting applications, including software, hardware, and operating system issues, ensuring minimal downtime
- Communicate technical information to non-technical users clearly and effectively
- Manage multiple projects with shifting priorities, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
- Support escalations with vendors to maintain reliability and system performance
Experience & skills
- Three-year college diploma or university degree in Computer Systems Design, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in hospitality applications or IT systems
- Experience implementing and maintaining front-of-house hospitality systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Knowledge of system integration and report/workflow development
- Adaptability, resilience, and a customer-first mindset
- Understanding of IT service management principles and application lifecycle
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
