Job description
IFRS9 and IFRS17 sit at the centre of the technical work for this Audit Manager, who covers Asset & Wealth Management and Insurance clients in PwC's Dubai Core Assurance team. Each assignment is managed across the full cycle, starting with an audit strategy designed in line with the engagement leader's guidance. ISAs frame the approach, along with financial services regulations that clients also look to you to explain. Client liaison and technical issues are handled day to day, and complex technical challenges need practical strategies. Presentations to boards of directors and audit committees are part of managing senior relationships. Business development matters too, through researching opportunities with new and existing clients. Team members reporting to you rely on coaching, mentoring and attention to their well-being, and you will help interview candidates for the firm. Audit transformation technologies, Data Analytics tools and alternative delivery models are part of how the team works. Candidates bring 6 to 8 years of external financial audit experience in the big 4 and a qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA or CPA, while Banking or Insurance audit experience and bilingual Arabic and English are assets.
