Job description
The role provides high-level strategic planning and scheduling services across multiple large-scale projects within Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate. Responsibilities include supporting programme planning for a portfolio of works or major single projects, advising teams on project time frames, maintaining scheduling standards, and preparing project programmes along with accurate cash flow projections for finance, lenders, and partners. The position assists in feasibility studies, presentations, and alignment of project measurement systems with consultants and contractors. The Senior Planning Manager oversees monthly programme and risk reporting, performs critical path analyses, manages time impact assessments for design or construction changes, and ensures accurate documentation and communications with contractors and consultants. Additional responsibilities include attending project meetings, ensuring the Project Management Team is aware of programme issues, reviewing consultant and contractor reports, ensuring compliance with internal approvals, and implementing planning processes to improve time management. Customer responsibilities include providing a service interface between customers and the Projects & Development department to meet budget and programme requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction. Requirements include an engineering degree, at least 15 years of experience in engineering, procurement, and construction project planning and scheduling, 10 years in planning management with schedule and personnel supervision responsibilities, proficiency in Primavera P6, Expedition, MS Project, FIDIC experience, cash flow preparation, and strong communication skills.

Key responsibilities
- Support line manager in delivering programme planning and scheduling management services for a portfolio of works or a major project
- Provide programme advice to AFGRE teams and maintain scheduling standards and procedures
- Advise teams and clients on project time frames aligned with development plans
- Prepare project programmes and accurate cash flow projections for finance teams, lenders, and partners
- Assist in project development feasibility studies and presentations
- Agree on project measurement systems and key indicators with consultants and contractors
- Report monthly on programme status and risks across the project portfolio
- Perform critical path analysis and manage time impact assessments for design or construction changes
- Maintain accurate record keeping and communications with contractors and consultants
- Review contractor progress reports and delay or disruption claims and recommend actions
- Attend project meetings and monitor project progress with the Project Management Team
- Ensure teams are aware of programme issues through consistent communication
- Review consultant and contractor reports for compliance and prepare internal approvals as required
- Implement planning and scheduling processes to enhance time management across project teams
- Provide service interface between customers and the Projects & Development department to meet budget and programme requirements
- Ensure customer satisfaction through successful delivery of planning services
Experience & skills
- Hold an engineering university degree
- Possess at least 15 years of experience in engineering, procurement, and construction projects with planning and scheduling responsibilities
- Have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a planning management role supervising schedules and personnel
- Demonstrate proficiency in Primavera P6, Primavera Expedition, and MS Project
- Have strong communication skills with fluency in English
- Exhibit experience with FIDIC and local regulations
- Be proficient in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Show knowledge of budget forecasting, cash flow preparation, and schedule development for large projects
