Job description
The Production Planning Engineer at Jazeera Airways is responsible for directing and monitoring the scheduling of aircraft maintenance tasks and aligning them with available resources, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. This includes coordination with Flight Operations to manage schedule changes, monitoring deferred defects like DDL, ADD, OOPL, and CDD, and developing rectification plans. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of task accomplishments, updating technical log sheets, reviewing aircraft check histories, and managing technical publications. The engineer ensures all maintenance planning activities are in full compliance with EASA Part M, Part 145, and Kuwait DGCA regulations. Active participation in the Safety Management System is required through hazard and incident reporting, enhancing safety culture within the organization.

Key responsibilities
- Direct and monitor the scheduling of maintenance tasks, aligning workload with available resources and timelines
- Coordinate with Flight Operations to manage changes in maintenance or operational requirements
- Monitor and plan rectification of deferred defects (DDL, ADD, OOPL, and CDD) in coordination with relevant teams
- Review work order databases and aircraft check history after task completion
- Update finding statuses and ensure timely closure of open findings
- Record task accomplishment statuses in the system for each aircraft
- Assist in maintaining and distributing technical manuals, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives
- Ensure outdated technical publications are properly disposed
- Ensure accurate updating of Technical Log Sheets and aircraft maintenance records
- Comply with regulations and standards of Jazeera Airways
- Participate in Safety Management System by reporting hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions
Experience & skills
- Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of aviation experience in a related field
- Knowledge of EASA Part M, EASA Part 145, and Kuwait DGCA regulations
- Comprehensive understanding of aircraft regulations applicable to Jazeera fleet
- Ability to interpret and apply technical publications
- Proficiency in airline application-based ERP systems
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Effective negotiation abilities
