Job description
Buro Happold's Riyadh office takes on a range of high-profile developments, from cultural icons to complex commercial structures, and this role sits at the center of delivering the structural side of those projects. You will lead the design and delivery of building structures projects, keeping technical quality aligned with client and sustainability objectives throughout. Advanced structural analysis and design work runs through the role, using software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, RAM Concept, and Robot to shape solutions. Design reports, technical specifications, and presentations form a regular part of the output expected from this position. Coordination with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders keeps structural solutions integrated within the wider design rather than developed in isolation. Junior engineers look to this role for review and supervision of their work, along with day-to-day mentorship. Peer reviews and quality assurance processes sit alongside the design work to maintain consistent technical standards across the practice. Chartership with a recognized body such as IStructE or ICE, held or in progress, is expected at this level. Fluency in English and Arabic supports the client and stakeholder relationships this role depends on.
