Job description
The Business Development Officer – Transplant & Community-Based Doctor (CBD) at King’s College Hospital London – UAE is responsible for driving healthcare business development, expanding clinical partnerships, and onboarding doctors and medical professionals. The role manages the promotion of the hospital brand, oversees Community-Based Doctor (CBD) operations, coordinates doctor schedules, and handles clerical and inter-departmental tasks. This position builds and maintains relationships with clinics, government hospitals, non-profits, and corporates, negotiates and manages contracts, monitors market trends, and participates in industry events. The Officer ensures confidentiality, professional credibility, and continuous personal development while providing first-line problem-solving support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and onboard doctors and healthcare professionals to partner with King’s College Hospital London – UAE
- Build and maintain strong relationships with medical practitioners, clinics, healthcare networks, government hospitals, non-profits, and corporate partners
- Develop strategic outreach plans to expand the referral base and clinical partnerships
- Represent the hospital at industry events, conferences, and networking forums
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of new partners
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategy
- Manage doctors’ schedules, complete clerical tasks, schedule appointments, and coordinate between departments
- Screen potential business deals, analyze market strategies and financial viability, and recommend integration with hospital operations
- Develop negotiating strategies, close new business deals, and integrate contract requirements with business operations
- Visit doctors regularly to maintain relationships and ensure business needs are met
- Protect organizational value by keeping information confidential
- Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and networking
- Enhance organizational reputation by taking ownership of new initiatives and exploring opportunities to add value
Experience & skills
- 3–5 years of experience in healthcare business development, medical recruitment, or relevant field
- Native or fluent Arabic speaker
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field; Master’s preferred; Diploma acceptable
- Strong network of medical professionals in UAE and GCC region
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives from concept to execution
- Healthcare experience with understanding of clinical terms and benefits investigation preferred
- Good computer literacy
- Highly self-motivated with ability to set and achieve goals
- Flexibility to adapt in a constantly changing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to unexpected issues
- Ability to maintain professional and personal credibility across all staff groups
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced workplace
