Every GIS substation project at Hitachi Energy needs one engineer accountable for the primary design, and in Dammam that is the Project Lead Engineer, Primary. Support starts at tender stage and carries on through execution, with primary drawings and Bills of Quantities for engineered Gas insulated Switchgear items prepared and checked here. Specifications for current transformers and voltage transformers, along with supplier offer reviews, feed into procurement through Supply Chain Management. Customer discussions, project review meetings and site queries are part of the regular routine. Interfaces with civil, steel and application engineers, both inside Hitachi Energy and at EPC companies, need careful coordination. Lead time and cost reduction on the offered GIS solution is an ongoing focus, always with deliverable quality as the top priority. Junior engineers, apprentices and technicians will come to you with design questions, and deliverables pass your review before going to the client. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, 8 to 10 years in GIS roles and fluent spoken and written English and Arabic.
