Job description
More than 4,000 students across three campuses make Doha British Schools one of Qatar's largest British school groups, and the Ain Khaled campus needs a part-time science supply teacher from November 2026. Teaching follows the National Curriculum of England, adapted for Qatar, through Key Stage 3 and into IGCSE. Classes are picked up partway through a scheme of work, so you need to get to grips quickly with where each group is and what comes next. Practical lessons call for safe, well-organised lab work, while theory lessons need clear explanations backed by regular checks for understanding. Marking and feedback keep students moving while their usual teacher is away. Character development and pastoral care are part of every school day at DBS. Extracurricular involvement is welcomed too. Candidates must already live in Qatar and hold a recognised education degree with at least two years of teaching experience on the National Curriculum of England. Safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references, apply before any appointment.
