Job description
Media Rotana in Dubai is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Front Desk Agent to join their Front Office team. The role is centered on delivering exceptional customer service to guests from arrival through departure, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and memorable experience. Responsibilities include guest greetings, hotel familiarization, account processing, rate awareness, and responding to guest inquiries about hotel and local services. The agent must ensure guest privacy, accurately handle cashiering processes, and maintain full knowledge of hotel policies and offerings. The ideal candidate will have a degree in hospitality, experience in front office operations, fluency in English (with additional languages a plus), and proficiency in hotel systems like Opera.

Key responsibilities
- Provide prompt, courteous and efficient service to all guests to achieve high customer satisfaction from arrival till departure.
- Personally greet guests by name when known and escort them to their room to ensure a welcoming experience.
- Conduct in-room and hotel familiarization and assist guests with inquiries or requests related to hotel activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel information, local services, promotions, and events to respond accurately to guest queries.
- Stay aware of daily rate levels and hotel occupancy levels.
- Accurately administer Front Desk cashiering standards and comply with all relevant systems, policies, and procedures.
- Process guest accounts from check-in to check-out with accurate postings of incidental charges via computerized Front Office systems.
- Ensure guest privacy by not disclosing any guest details.
- Demonstrate full understanding of the hotelās policies, procedures, service standards, and hotel facilities.
Experience & skills
- Degree in hospitality or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Front Office department within a hotel.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
- Computer literacy required; prior experience with Opera system is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-driven and proactive personality with an approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player comfortable in a multicultural environment.
