Job description
No construction, commissioning, maintenance or operational task starts on this Wood PMC site until a permit has been reviewed, risk-assessed and issued, and that control sits with the OPS Engineer (Permit Issuer). The role is fully site based in Abu Dhabi. Each permit application needs complete risk assessments, JSA/JHA and supporting documents before it moves forward. Isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO) and gas testing are verified on site, and permits are issued, suspended, extended or closed as conditions change. SIMOPS need close watching so conflicts between activities are identified and controlled. Operations, Construction, Commissioning, HSE and Contractors coordinate with you daily, and unsafe conditions or permit violations give you the authority to stop work. Permit logs and records are kept up to date, and toolbox talks, safety reviews and PTW training for site personnel are regular parts of the week. Start-up and operational readiness also depend on safe work authorisation. Candidates need 10+ years in oil and gas, petrochemical, LNG, refinery or energy projects, with proven PTW administration experience and a Bachelor's or Diploma in an engineering discipline.
