Job description
The Senior Coordinator Quality Control at tMart in Dubai is responsible for overseeing the quality, freshness, and safety of grocery products across the distribution center. This includes inbound and outbound products, ensuring adherence to predefined quality standards and FMCG retail best practices. The role involves managing stock handling procedures, monitoring compliance of 3rd party staff with company policies, and ensuring the timely and accurate inspection of products before they enter stores or leave the warehouse. The position requires strong coordination with commercial teams to address quality concerns, conducting cycle counts, reviewing ready-to-ship orders, and escalating issues to management as needed. The Senior Coordinator will monitor warehouse activities, prepare technical and management reports, assess implementation of policies and quality standards, and recommend staff training or process improvements to ensure operational excellence. The role contributes to the rapid expansion of tMart’s cloud grocery store operations across multiple GCC and MENA countries, ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable quality and food safety.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee quality, freshness, and food safety of inbound and outbound products within the distribution center to meet predefined company standards
- Inspect adequate samples of warehouse products regularly to ensure compliance with quality specifications and operational procedures
- Ensure 3rd party staff comply with company policies for stock handling, storage, inbound, and outbound operations
- Communicate effectively with commercial teams regarding the quality of received products and address any deviations or issues
- Conduct cycle counts and regular checks on ready-to-ship orders to maintain inventory accuracy and order fulfillment quality
- Monitor warehouse activities and practices, prepare management and technical reports, and escalate major issues to IC management promptly
- Assess and review the implementation of approved policies, procedures, and quality standards across the warehouse operations
- Recommend enhancements or training needs for 3rd party staff, discuss with management, and support continuous process improvement
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG retail business or grocery distribution operations
- Practical experience in butchery and handling of fresh products
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control procedures
- Ability to manage warehouse quality inspections and third-party compliance
- Experience in conducting cycle counts and monitoring ready-to-ship orders
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools for performance and quality monitoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English
- Ability to assess operational processes, implement quality standards, and recommend staff training or process improvements
