Job description
The Senior Finance Specialist β Digital Services at Core42 plays a critical role in driving financial process transformation within an AI-powered cloud and digital infrastructure organization. Core42 focuses on sovereign AI infrastructure and high-performance compute platforms, operating in highly regulated environments across the Middle East and beyond. This role is responsible for evaluating and improving financial workflows, enhancing internal controls, and supporting the implementation and optimization of enterprise systems such as ERP platforms. The position involves preparing and reviewing annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans; supporting revenue recognition in line with IFRS and contractual terms; producing and analyzing monthly client P&L statements; conducting detailed variance analysis; maintaining balance sheet schedules for unbilled revenue, unearned revenue, accruals, and deferred costs; reviewing client contracts, statements of work, and pricing structures; and analyzing revenues, costs, margins, and KPIs. The role partners closely with finance, operations, IT, and commercial teams to strengthen financial performance, improve data integrity, ensure regulatory compliance, support ERP implementations, document finance processes, train internal teams, and continuously improve finance operations aligned with Core42βs growth, innovation, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans
- Support revenue recognition activities in accordance with IFRS and contractual terms
- Prepare and analyze monthly client profit and loss statements to assess profitability and performance gaps
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results against budget and forecast
- Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet schedules including unbilled revenue, unearned revenue, accruals, and deferred costs
- Review client contracts, statements of work, and pricing structures for commercial and financial accuracy
- Analyze revenues, costs, margins, and KPIs to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Partner with business, operational, and commercial stakeholders to drive financial performance
- Identify financial trends, anomalies, and control gaps and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements by strengthening financial controls
- Collaborate with ERP and IT teams on system implementations, integrations, and data integrity enhancements
- Develop, document, and maintain finance processes, policies, and procedures
- Provide training and ongoing support to ensure adoption of new finance processes and systems
- Monitor finance best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Professional qualification such as CMA, CFA, ACCA, or CA preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance roles within international organizations
- Experience in technology or related sectors preferred
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting
- Experience supporting or leading ERP or major financial system implementations
- Strong understanding of IFRS and revenue recognition principles
- Familiarity with automation tools, data analytics platforms, and workflow-management technologies
