Job description
The Sr. Planning Analyst is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and ICT Governance processes, leveraging the ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on enhancing ICT performance through structured governance models, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. Operating within an enterprise IT environmentâpreferably in the Oil & Gas sectorâthe incumbent ensures alignment of IT services with business objectives while driving operational excellence and value delivery.

Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain ITSM frameworks and processes using the ServiceNow platform.
- Configure and optimize ServiceNow modules including ITSM, Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), and CMDB.
- Develop and enforce ICT governance and performance management frameworks aligned with ITIL, COBIT, and CMMI standards.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for ServiceNow enhancements and integrations.
- Define, monitor, and report ICT KPIs to measure service effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Establish structured processes to track project costs, schedules, risks, quality, and performance.
- Engage stakeholders to assess business and technical needs, evaluate risks, and recommend governance solutions.
- Maintain governance documentation, best practices, and lessons learned for knowledge continuity.
- Monitor emerging IT governance and ITSM trends and implement innovative improvements.
- Ensure continuous improvement in IT operations and service delivery efficiency.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in enterprise IT environments, preferably within Oil & Gas.
- At least 8 years of expertise in IT Governance and ITSM, particularly with ServiceNow implementations.
- Strong hands-on experience configuring and customizing ServiceNow solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, CMMI, and related governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to define KPIs, conduct business analysis, and drive data-based improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities across multicultural environments.
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, or Business discipline.
