Job description
The Senior Packaging Designer is responsible for developing creative, functional, and brand-aligned packaging solutions across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for multiple consumer brands. The role ensures strong shelf presence, manufacturability, sustainability, and alignment with brand identity and business objectives. The designer creates and develops visual identity systems including typography, color palettes, brand guidelines, and packaging design systems. Responsibilities include producing structural and graphic packaging designs such as dielines, mockups, and proofs, as well as preparing high-quality production-ready files that meet printing and manufacturing specifications. The role collaborates closely with internal teams including Brand, Product, and Marketing to ensure packaging aligns with product direction and brand strategy. The designer coordinates with factories, suppliers, and printing vendors to ensure accurate execution of approved designs, conducts pre-production reviews, and supports production runs to ensure quality and consistency. The role ensures compliance with regulatory, labeling, and material requirements across target markets while also optimizing packaging designs for sustainability by reducing waste and selecting appropriate materials. The Senior Packaging Designer manages multiple concurrent projects from concept development through final production, maintains packaging asset libraries, and ensures design consistency across products and brands. The position requires strong technical knowledge of packaging materials, structural design principles, manufacturing processes, and print production workflows, along with strong visual design capabilities and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities
- Design and develop structural and graphic packaging solutions including primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging aligned with brand identity and business objectives
- Create brand visual identity systems including typography, color palettes, design systems, and packaging guidelines for multiple product brands
- Produce dielines, mockups, and packaging proofs ensuring structural accuracy and alignment with manufacturing requirements
- Prepare production-ready artwork files compliant with printing specifications and coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate manufacturing execution
- Collaborate with Brand, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure packaging designs align with product requirements and brand strategy
- Coordinate with factories, suppliers, and printing vendors to ensure accurate execution of packaging designs and resolve production issues
- Review samples, conduct pre-production checks, and support production runs to ensure quality control and design accuracy
- Ensure packaging designs comply with regulatory, labeling, and material standards across different target markets
- Optimize packaging solutions for sustainability by selecting appropriate materials and reducing environmental impact
- Manage multiple packaging design projects simultaneously from concept development through final production while maintaining deadlines and quality standards
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Packaging Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrate minimum of 3+ years of experience in packaging design within consumer goods, retail, or related industries
- Possess a strong portfolio demonstrating structural packaging design, dielines, and retail product packaging work
- Show proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for packaging and print design
- Demonstrate strong understanding of structural packaging principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Possess experience preparing technical drawings, specifications, and print-ready production files
- Demonstrate knowledge of labeling requirements, regulatory compliance, and sustainability considerations in packaging design
- Show strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional design environments
