Job description
FTI Consultingās Insurance Claims Services team specializes in the assessment of financial losses ensuing from insured perils. The Consultant will support the quantification of insured losses in the context of contractual claims, litigation, arbitration, expert determination, and mediation. As part of the wider Economic and Financial Consulting practice, the role involves preparing independent and reliable assessments of economic losses sustained by clients, often after business interruptions. The position offers exposure to varied industries and challenging assignments across global markets.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Work in small teams to carry out industry, market, and quantitative analysis.
- Report findings in a clear, concise, and structured way.
- Contribute to assignments related to business interruptions and insured economic losses.
- Assist in quantifying financial losses, including loss of profits and increased cost of working.
- Support litigation and arbitration matters with expert financial analysis.
- Coordinate with legal counsel and clients on policy specifications and claims.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree from a university with strong academic reputation.
- Pursuing or willing to pursue ACA, ACCA, CFA, or other relevant qualifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams.
- Capability to conduct research effectively.
- Interest in insurance claims services and economic loss quantification.
- Understanding of mitigation factors and policy implications in insurance claims.
