FTI Consulting, a global advisory firm specializing in crisis management, transformation, restructuring, and corporate finance advisory services, is seeking a Consultant, Restructuring – Corporate Finance & Financial Advisory (Arabic Speaker) to join its Corporate Finance & Restructuring team in Dubai or Riyadh. The Corporate Finance team supports corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies, law firms, banks, and other stakeholders by addressing strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs through restructuring advisory, financial and operational due diligence, business reviews, valuation, cash flow management, working capital management, contingency planning, and insolvency advisory. The Consultant will support restructuring engagements involving business and liquidity reviews, analysis of historical and forecast financial performance, preparation and testing of business plans, development of three-statement financial models, and execution of financial analysis using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools. The role includes variance analysis, bridge analysis, identification of underperformance drivers, deal structuring support, and conducting diligence across financial, operational, and commercial areas. The Consultant will communicate findings through report writing and oral presentations, support contingency planning initiatives, and collaborate with case managers and stakeholders on complex cross-border restructuring situations. The position requires strong financial modelling capabilities, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of restructuring advisory, insolvency, valuation, working capital management, and financial restructuring processes. The Consultant will support cross-border engagements, conduct research, analyze market events, interpret financial data, and assist in restructuring advisory deliverables within fast-paced consulting environments while contributing to professional development and continuous learning programs.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Assist in business and liquidity reviews by analyzing historical financial performance, forecasting future performance, evaluating cash flow management, and identifying financial risks within restructuring engagements.
- Prepare and test business plans and build detailed three-statement financial models using Microsoft Excel, ensuring accuracy, scenario analysis, and financial forecasting for restructuring and advisory assignments.
- Conduct variance analysis and bridge analysis to identify performance gaps, investigate underperformance drivers, and support restructuring strategies and turnaround initiatives.
- Perform financial, operational, and commercial due diligence including interrogating financial data, reviewing business operations, and supporting restructuring advisory engagements.
- Develop contingency planning scenarios, support insolvency advisory work, and assist with valuation, working capital management, and financial restructuring assignments.
- Communicate findings through detailed report writing and oral presentations, preparing client-ready deliverables and supporting case managers on engagements.
- Support deal structuring activities, conduct research on market events, analyze financial data, and assist in cross-border restructuring assignments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders including corporations, private equity sponsors, creditors, and financial institutions while supporting restructuring advisory projects.
Experience & skills
- Obtain degree-level education in a numerate subject or equivalent with strong foundation in financial analysis, restructuring advisory, and corporate finance.
- Demonstrate working financial modelling skills including building three-statement financial models and performing financial forecasting using Microsoft Excel.
- Possess relevant restructuring or diligence experience within consulting firms, including financial, operational, and commercial due diligence exposure.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint for financial modelling, reporting, and presentation development.
- Demonstrate knowledge of deal structuring principles, valuation techniques, working capital management, and financial restructuring methodologies.
- Possess strong research, quantitative, and analytical skills including analyzing market events and interpreting financial performance trends.
- Demonstrate ability to work in cross-border situations, travel when required, and collaborate in fast-paced consulting environments.
- Hold preferred professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent and demonstrate Arabic language proficiency.
