Job description
AWS Enterprise Support customers in the telecommunications sector rely on their Technical Account Manager as the principal technical advisor and voice of the customer inside AWS. Based in Dubai, the role sits outside sales and focuses on helping operators get the best value from services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront CDN and IoT. Your days involve shaping adoption strategies, keeping customer environments operationally healthy and finding ways to reduce cost and complexity. When incidents happen, you lead the technical discussion with senior leadership on trade-offs, support and risk management. Conversations range from developers to C-suite executives, and the work brings you alongside AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants and Sales Account Managers. Reviews of service events, monthly and quarterly metrics, and pre-launch planning form a regular part of the rhythm, as do workshops and brown bag sessions that build customer capability. Telco depth matters here, with practical knowledge of 5G network architecture and call-flows and of OSS/BSS troubleshooting listed as preferred. Expect travel of 10% or more as needed.
