Job description
The Senior ULD Agent in Airport Operations at Emirates Airline is responsible for coordinating the provisioning, tracking, and maintenance of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) at DXB and DWC stations. The role involves ensuring operational efficiency through accurate NOMAD system records, managing repairs with third-party service providers, and maintaining contingency stock to meet daily operational demands. Responsibilities include facilitating timely return of leased and foreign ULDs, conducting ramp rounds to trace and monitor ULDs, managing special-purpose ULDs and accessories, overseeing horse stall inspections, cleaning, and disinfection with proper certification, and ensuring safe handling and storage of ULDs and cargo. The agent collaborates closely with dnata ULD Services, Skycargo Operations, EKAS, EKSC Regional Managers, and porters to optimize cargo operations, maintain serviceability, and track repair cost recovery while adhering to aircraft safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the provisioning of ULDs, including horse stalls and accessories, to meet daily operational requirements at DXB and DWC
- Maintain accurate NOMAD system records for all ULD movements and station stock levels
- Resolve NOMAD system messaging errors to ensure real-time tracking of ULD stock for Network ULD Planning Officers
- Facilitate prompt return and recovery of leased and foreign airline ULDs according to ULD Officer plans
- Manage transfer and recovery of ULDs assigned to cargo agents, documenting damages and initiating repair cost recovery
- Conduct ramp rounds at DXB and DWC to oversee ULD handling, trace missing units, and report malpractices
- Ensure damaged ULDs are transferred to workshops and track repair cost recovery, sharing monthly reports with EKAS and EKSC Regional Managers
- Oversee horse stall inspections, cleaning, disinfection, certification, and timely availability
- Manage provision and recovery of special-purpose ULDs and accessories, and allocate porter duties efficiently
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3 years experience in Airport Operations with exposure to ULD handling and cargo management
- Completion of 12 years of schooling or equivalent educational qualification
- Comprehensive knowledge of ULD specifications, types, and operational requirements
- Proficiency in NOMAD or similar ULD tracking and inventory management systems
- Familiarity with aircraft safety, security procedures, and cargo handling standards
- Experience coordinating with multiple airport teams and external service providers
- Hands-on experience with horse stall management, including inspection, cleaning, disinfection, and certification
- Ability to document operational processes accurately, maintain records, and report to management
- Valid UAE driving license to facilitate movement between DXB and DWC stations
- Capability to manage contingency ULD stock planning and ad hoc operational requirements
- Strong knowledge of cargo accessories such as lashing belts, car kits, spider nets, corner ropes, and net repair kits
- Experience in supervising, coordinating, and allocating duties for ground support staff, including porters
