Job description
The Site Senior Project Manager at DP World is responsible for leading the full delivery lifecycle of the Economic Zone project at Al Rawdah, Oman. As DP Worldâs on-site representative, the role ensures strategic alignment with master development plans, PMO governance frameworks, and stakeholder expectations. This fixed-term, 3-year contract role oversees planning, execution, quality, cost, and risk management for a large-scale infrastructure and building project exceeding USD 100 million. Key responsibilities include managing consultant and contractor teams, enforcing HSE and regulatory compliance, approving project documentation, and facilitating project handover. The role reports to the Group VP â Project Portfolio and is expected to maintain audit readiness, ensure smooth execution across all stages, and support capability development. Candidates must have extensive experience managing complex projects, strong contractual knowledge (FIDIC), and fluency in Arabic and English.

Key responsibilities
- Represent DP World and the Group PMO on-site, ensuring project alignment with strategic and master development plans
- Ensure compliance with PMO governance standards and maintain up-to-date documentation in project systems
- Act as the main point of contact for all stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and authorities
- Lead project planning and execution oversight, from enabling works to fit-out and commissioning
- Approve method statements, shop drawings, submittals, and mock-ups
- Ensure full compliance with HSE and environmental regulations
- Review and manage financial aspects including estimates, variations, invoices, and contractual claims
- Track project performance metrics, including cost, schedule, safety, and quality KPIs
- Manage project risk registers, change requests, and resolution of claims and disputes
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover including close-out documentation
- Support team development, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing of PMO best practices
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Possess advanced project management qualifications such as PMP or PgMP (preferred)
- Have 10â15 years of experience managing large-scale building, infrastructure, or mixed-use development projects
- Demonstrate a successful track record of delivering projects exceeding USD 100 million in value
- Have strong working knowledge of FIDIC and international contract forms
- Exhibit proficiency in project tools such as Primavera, MS Project, MS Office, and AutoCAD
- Show exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities
- Be fluent in both English and Arabic
