Job description
The Senior Investment Advisor in the Retail Banking Group (Injaz β RBG β MG Investment Advisor) carries the primary mandate of performing Investment Advisory (IA) and managing a substantial book of Fixed Income positions across multiple commercial segments of the bank. The role supports Private Banking activities and ensures strong client retention in cases such as a Relationship Manager's departure. Responsibilities include creating research inputs that guide investment analysis, proposing and implementing multi-segment investment solutions, monitoring and rebalancing client portfolios, restructuring asset allocations, and generating revenue measured through portfolio performance and ROA. The advisor must demonstrate expertise in macroeconomic research, developments in banking and asset management, financial markets, investment instruments, correlations, and both strategic and tactical asset allocation principles. The role requires the ability to translate macroeconomic research into actionable investment decisions, understand risk profiling to match products to investors, and deliver customized investment solutions to Relationship Managers or clients directly. The advisor supervises and mentors junior staff on all IA-related topics while maintaining oversight of all portfolios within the allocated client segments.

- Work closely with existing clients and focus on portfolio performance and ROA generation rather than new account acquisition
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate clear understanding of macroeconomic research and ability to convert research into investments
- Bring experience in investment advisory, financial markets, and economic analysis
- Show knowledge of developments in the banking and asset management industries
- Possess thorough understanding of products and investment instruments
- Have thorough knowledge of strategic and tactical asset allocation fundamentals
- Demonstrate knowledge of risk profiling of clients for appropriate product selection
- Show knowledge of financial markets, products, financial instruments, correlations, and portfolio management theory
