Job description
Security Operations Center (SOC) programmes and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms sit at the centre of this Accenture Security position in Kuwait City. Across client engagements, you will lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of security solutions, from defining requirements to overseeing the build and testing of security components. Tools in play include Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk and IBM QRadar, alongside EDR, SOAR, threat intelligence platforms, IAM and vulnerability management tools. Regular vulnerability assessments feed into remediation roadmaps that clients can act on. People management is a real part of the job, covering resource allocation, workload and quality across concurrent workstreams, plus capability-building sessions for the team. When complex security issues escalate, they come to you for solutions that weigh risk, cost and business impact. Infrastructure, application and risk functions are regular partners, so security is built into the whole delivery lifecycle. Most candidates bring 6 to 9 years in cybersecurity, much of it in delivery or consulting, with expert-level SOC planning and maturity assessment skills. Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001 or NCA ECC is strongly preferred, and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft SC-200 are valued.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of Security Operations Center (SOC) programmes across client engagements
- Oversee the implementation and optimisation of SIEM solutions aligned to client environments and evolving threats
- Define security requirements and translate them into scalable, practical architecture and delivery approaches
- Ensure the build of security components meets rigorous testing standards
- Manage team performance, resource allocation, workload and quality across concurrent workstreams
- Develop security strategies that align with organisational goals and client risk appetite
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and turn findings into actionable remediation roadmaps
- Facilitate capability-building sessions and knowledge transfer on security protocols, tools and emerging practices
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application and risk functions to embed security across the delivery lifecycle
- Serve as a key escalation point for complex security challenges, balancing risk, cost and business impact
- Monitor security trends, threat intelligence and emerging technologies to keep team practices current
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems or a related technical discipline
- Bring 6 to 9 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, with a meaningful portion in delivery or consulting
- Demonstrate experience managing security teams, including performance, development and workload
- Show a proven track record delivering complex programmes across SOC, SIEM, threat detection or incident response
- Possess expert-level proficiency in SOC planning, operations and maturity assessment
- Use SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or IBM QRadar at an advanced level (strongly preferred)
- Maintain working knowledge of EDR, threat intelligence platforms, SOAR, IAM, network security architecture and cloud security
- Apply exposure to security governance, risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements such as NIST, ISO 27001 or NCA ECC (strongly preferred)
- Operate effectively in large, matrixed organisations across multiple industries or client environments
- Offer certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft SC-200, with AWS Security Specialty or Azure Security Engineer a plus
- Communicate complex security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
