Job description
The Investment Manager will serve as a primary investment advisor and strategist to Deutsche Bank's high-net-worth clients within the Private Bank division. Operating in close partnership with Relationship Managers, the role requires deep expertise in investment strategy, portfolio construction, capital markets, and client engagement. The successful candidate will drive asset growth, portfolio alignment with CIO guidance, and deliver sophisticated, multi-asset investment solutions while maintaining high compliance standards and building strong internal and external relationships.

Key responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact for clientsā investment needs and advice
- Partner with Relationship Managers to increase share of wallet across a defined portfolio
- Advise on holistic portfolio construction and asset allocation based on CIO guidance
- Assess and update client risk profiles and ensure portfolio suitability
- Execute investment trades and conduct detailed portfolio reviews
- Ensure regulatory compliance and appropriateness of all investment activities
- Collaborate with product specialists across discretionary, advisory, capital markets, and alternative solutions
- Proactively identify and fill portfolio gaps with bespoke investment opportunities
- Support Relationship Managers in client acquisition through investment expertise
- Drive client retention and portfolio risk management
- Provide market insights and capital market outlooks in client discussions
- Participate in strategy execution to expand Deutsche Bankās Global South Asia footprint
- Monitor and advise on portfolio rebalancing based on market shifts and CIO updates
Experience & skills
- 8+ years of investment experience, with a minimum of 5 years in private banking or wealth management
- Proven success in advising UHNWI clients on multi-asset portfolios
- Strong knowledge of both traditional and alternative asset classes
- Experience delivering CIO-aligned capital markets strategy and investment ideas
- Ability to articulate investment rationale from both macro and micro perspectives
- Demonstrated success in client acquisition, asset retention, and business development
- Strong understanding of performance attribution and financial metrics
- Knowledge of cross-border regulations and data protection policies
- CFA or MBA preferred
- Superior client communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable leading client investment discussions and participating in pitch meetings
