Job description
The Healthcare Access Manager at Pfizer is a customer-facing pharmaceutical market access role responsible for engaging with payers, institutions, healthcare professionals (HCPs), and key stakeholders to deliver value-based messages of Pfizer medicines and enhance patient access through innovative healthcare solutions, partnerships, and strategic initiatives. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers to understand payer unmet needs and coordinate commercial and access long-term business objectives to maximize access. The position involves creating customized value propositions based on deep understanding of payer needs to secure access for new product launches, formulary inclusions, value-added programs such as disease awareness and education, and innovative agreements. The Healthcare Access Manager is accountable for managing pricing and non-pricing proposals, understanding access and pricing conditions for Pfizer and competitor products, mapping and prioritizing accounts, and developing and executing annual strategic account plans with product-specific and relationship-building targets. The role includes arranging payer engagement plans aligned with CH&V strategy, coordinating with Product Strategists to achieve formulary inclusion, organizing educational events, advisory meetings, and KOL interactions, and maintaining a database of pricing and access offers, performance metrics, and competitive intelligence. The role requires knowledge of reimbursement processes, local healthcare laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia, and experience across multiple therapeutic areas, with a focus on accelerating access timelines, managing risks, and ensuring alignment across Pfizer platforms and support functions to drive successful access strategies and improved patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities
- Lead interactions with assigned accounts to establish and build long-term relationships with payers and stakeholders
- Accelerate access timelines for Pfizer products across key accounts
- Develop and manage pricing and non-pricing proposals to achieve formulary inclusion of products
- Analyze access and pricing conditions for Pfizer and competitor products within assigned accounts
- Map and prioritize assigned accounts using defined criteria and maintain stakeholder mapping
- Develop and execute annual strategic account plans with product-specific and relationship-building targets
- Plan and implement payer engagement strategies aligned with CH&V objectives
- Collaborate with Product Strategists to secure formulary inclusion and optimize access strategies
- Organize educational events, advisory meetings, and KOL engagements to support strategic goals
- Collect and provide insights on payer needs, decision-making processes, and market dynamics
- Maintain databases of pricing, access offers, performance metrics, and competitive intelligence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support functions to ensure alignment and consistency
- Identify, anticipate, and mitigate risks related to access strategies and account management
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical science or equivalent qualification
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of sales, market access, and commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrate mandatory experience working within the Saudi Arabia healthcare market
- Show knowledge of reimbursement processes, local laws, and healthcare regulations
- Exhibit experience across multiple therapeutic areas as an advantage
- Demonstrate proficiency in English language with Arabic as an advantage
- Demonstrate ability to manage complexity and make informed decisions in fast-paced environments
- Show capability to develop and execute short and long-term access strategies
