Job description
The Technical Purchaser is responsible for efficient material procurement to support the Technical Division and avoid shortages or AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations. Duties include procuring aircraft, power-plant, and landing-gear components, spares, tools, modification kits, equipment, and instruments from approved sources at competitive prices and within the required timelines. The role involves acting as the focal point for supply, tracking and expediting orders, monitoring loan and exchange orders, and liaising with management, vendors, and other sections to resolve procurement bottlenecks.

Key responsibilities
- Act as the focal point for supply of priority requirements to Maintenance.
- Keep track of orders and expedite when necessary.
- Monitor un-fulfilled Loan and Exchange Orders.
- Follow up on open orders and submit reports related to routable, repairable, and tools.
- Maintain close liaison with management, other sections, and vendors to resolve procurement bottlenecks.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School.
- Five (5) years of experience in material sales or purchase at a vendor or MRO.
- Strong prioritisation skills and ability to work to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
