Job description
Strategic Planning Manager responsible for supporting the development and monitoring of Riyad Bank corporate strategy and ensuring development of a corporate-level integrated business plan translating strategy into clear targets and initiatives. The role involves contributing to enterprise-wide strategy development, managing bank-wide business planning aligned with ePMO, monitoring aspiration targets, and overseeing strategic initiatives execution across the organization. Responsibilities include managing the strategy delivery lifecycle including pre-project business case development and project approvals, driving transformation initiatives, enforcing continuous improvement of strategy processes, and updating transformation and strategy steering committees. The role requires monitoring Riyad Bank targets and initiatives, providing guidance to initiative owners and portfolio heads, conducting market insights and banking industry research, acting as custodian of corporate strategy, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and capturing lessons learned to enhance methodologies. The Strategic Planning Manager is responsible for preparing bank-wide steering committee reports, managing performance monitoring, and supporting leadership decision-making through strategic reporting and financial modelling. The role includes people management responsibilities such as setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, supporting staff development, and promoting employment and development of Saudi nationals. Additionally, the position ensures adherence to safety, quality, and environmental policies, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and performs related assignments directed by the bank while utilizing MS Office, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), MS Project, presentation skills, and financial modelling capabilities.

Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of enterprise-wide corporate strategy, translate strategic objectives into cohesive initiatives, align strategic priorities with business units, and ensure execution readiness across Riyad Bank through integrated business planning and collaboration with ePMO.
- Manage the bank-wide corporate business plan, align strategic initiatives with enterprise performance objectives, monitor aspiration targets, and track performance to ensure achievement of strategic goals and transformation milestones.
- Oversee strategy delivery lifecycle including pre-project business case development, project approval governance, initiative prioritization, and continuous improvement of strategic planning methodologies and frameworks.
- Monitor Riyad Bank targets and strategic initiatives progress, provide management guidance to initiative owners and portfolio heads, and ensure timely execution aligned with policies, procedures, and cost-effective delivery requirements.
- Conduct market insights and banking industry research, analyze trends, evaluate competitive positioning, and provide strategic recommendations to support corporate strategy and transformation initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver bank-wide steering committee reports, provide performance updates, maintain reporting accuracy, and ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and governance requirements.
- Manage stakeholder engagement including transformation steering committee updates, cross-functional collaboration, strategy communication, and alignment with business leadership and portfolio heads.
- Lead people management responsibilities including setting team objectives, conducting performance feedback sessions, facilitating annual appraisals, supporting development plans, promoting Saudi national development, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies.
Experience & skills
- Possess Bachelor degree in Management, Strategy or Finance with strong understanding of corporate strategy development, strategic planning, and business transformation within banking environment.
- Demonstrate 8-10 years of experience in strategy roles including corporate strategy, enterprise-wide planning, strategic initiatives management, and business performance monitoring.
- Demonstrate experience managing strategy delivery lifecycle including business case development, project approval processes, transformation governance, and performance tracking.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools for strategic analysis, performance tracking, and executive presentations.
- Demonstrate advanced experience using Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools and MS Project for strategic initiative tracking, portfolio management, and planning execution.
- Demonstrate strong financial modelling capability to support strategic planning, business case evaluation, and performance forecasting within banking sector.
- Demonstrate experience conducting market research, banking industry analysis, and strategic reporting to support leadership decision-making and transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrate fluent English language capability with advanced presentation skills, strategic communication, and ability to engage with senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
