Job description
The Senior Partner Development Manager â Solutions at Microsoft is responsible for executing partner strategy and driving business plan execution to achieve key performance indicators and revenue growth across Microsoft Cloud in SMB, Enterprise, and SMC segments. This individual contributor role requires expertise in partner management, cloud and AI solutions, and strategic sales. The position involves developing and executing Partner Business Plans, aligning partner strategies with Microsoft solution plays, and managing executive-level stakeholder relationships both internally and externally. Responsibilities include building strategic relationships, accelerating joint business initiatives, driving partner pipeline, ensuring program compliance, and leveraging tools like MCEM Win Formula and digital marketplaces. The role also leads partner enablement programs such as MAPS, TechBoost, and Second Nature to foster technical mastery and marketplace readiness. The PDM role promotes excellence in communication, performance tracking, and governance adherence, contributing to Microsoftâs mission through innovation in AI, cloud platforms, business applications, and security solutions. The position is hybrid with 3 days/week in-office and requires up to 25% travel.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive Partner Business Plan (PBP) aligned with Microsoftâs strategy and goals
- Drive territory planning and maintain performance-focused Rhythm of Business (ROB)
- Build and manage strategic relationships with Microsoft and partner executives
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and executive alignment to accelerate joint business outcomes
- Lead partner transformation through expertise in AI, industry innovation, and solution areas
- Activate and scale partner practices using Microsoft programs and fiscal priorities
- Ensure compliance with Microsoftâs ethical standards and governance frameworks
- Lead partner pipeline development via consultative selling and co-sell execution
- Support top deals and drive opportunity acceleration across solution areas
- Connect partners with segment sellers and lead revenue-focused solution deep dives
- Execute the MCEM Win Formula leveraging digital platforms and marketplaces
- Lead partner skilling and enablement through programs like MAPS, TechBoost, and Second Nature
- Promote partner certifications, specializations, and marketplace readiness
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and ensure clarity in strategic direction
- Track and report performance using KPIs such as CSP Cloud Consumption, Security Billed, and customer acquisition
Experience & skills
- Have extensive experience in sales, partner management, business development, and sales strategy
- Demonstrate a proven track record of sales leadership and co-sell motion execution
- Show deep understanding of partner operating models and transformation across cloud and AI
- Have experience engaging and influencing executive management both internally and externally
- Demonstrate success in partner ecosystem development including onboarding and enablement
- Possess expertise in Microsoft solution areas
- Apply strong consultative selling skills to translate technical solutions into business value
